A California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer’s dashboard camera caught the moment a loose cow he was attempting to wrangle turned and attempted to throw him in the air. The CHP’s office in Susanville says the officer was attempting to get the loose cow to leave the highway when the 2,000-pound animal turned to face him. The animal only managed to land a “glancing blow” on the officer’s right shoulder, and he says his protective vest likely saved him from serious injury. Footage of the encounter was shared on Facebook.
