You probably guessed it I bet...TikTok. If you hope to sleep soundly you may want to avoid staring at TikTok before bed. A survey finds that TikTok users took over one hour longer than average to fall asleep and spent 14 percent of their sleep in REM phase—which is only half of the recommended amount for a healthy adult. It is recommended to not using any electronics for at least two hours before bedtime because of the blue light they emit, as blue light stimulates the brain and reduces melatonin production.
