That scary picture is listeria. And it might be in your fridge. Old Europe Cheese Inc. has issued a voluntary recall for all of its brie and camembert cheese products, A sample from one of Old Europe's facilities tested positive for listeria, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
The tainted cheese was distributed from August to September and likely sold at over a dozen stores including Albertsons, Safeway, Meijer, Harding’s, Shaw’s, Price Chopper, Market Basket, Save Mart, Giant Foods, Stop & Shop, Fresh Thyme, Lidl, Sprouts and Whole Foods.
