2019 'CMA Country Christmas' Hosted By Trisha Yearwood Airs This Tuesday

The 10th Annual CMA Country Christmas, hosted by country icon Trisha Yearwood, will air on Tuesday, December 3, at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.

“Music, memories and enjoying the season with loved ones are what make Christmastime so special,” says Yearwood. “Hosting ‘CMA Country Christmas’ is an opportunity to share joy and celebrate the holidays with friends and family everywhere.”

The holiday special will feature performances of Christmas classics along with several collaborations. One of the most highly anticipated performances of the evening is a rendition of "Children, Go Where I Send Thee" from some of the most talented country, pop, and gospel vocalists. Yearwood, Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott, Tori Kelly, Kristin Chenoweth, and CeCe Winans all came together this standout performance.

"Well, [CMA Country Christmas executive producer] Robert [Deaton] told us about it, and we just thought it would be great," Winans recalls about how the collaboration came together. "I'm so honored to be with all these incredible women. [It's my] first time singing with Tori. And Kristin! Kristin is singing in the rafters, so this is gonna be exciting."

Chenoweth is just as excited for the performance, so much so that she chose it over a Broadway appearance. "I'm getting ready to do a Broadway show, and we're in rehersals, and they said, 'It conflicts,' and I said, 'Cancel Broadway! I'm not gonna miss this chance.'" She adds, "We just stood up there today and made music. I felt the love."

Additional artists making an appearance during CMA Country Christmas includes Rascal Flatts, For King & Country, Chris Janson, Runaway June, Brett Young, and Chris Young. Be sure to tune in for the night of holiday celebration on Tuesday, December 3 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
