Carrie Underwood Bares Sculpted Leg In Princess-Inspired Gown — See Photos

Carrie Underwood wore a Rapunzel-inspired look on American Idol as contestants took the stage with song selections fit for the week’s Disney theme.

Underwood wore a floral purple gown with puff sleeves and a split in the skirt revealing one of the Fit52 star’s sculpted legs (some Instagram commenters took notice and decided it would be “leg day” during their next visit to the gym). The “Blown Away” superstar paired the princess-worthy dress with long blonde locks cascading to the floor. Some commenters hailed the Rapunzel look Underwood’s best of the season. Underwood has shared stunning snapshots of her Idol fashion each week, including dramatic wardrobe pieces, beach-worthy dresses when the show filmed in Hawaii, and her Idol finale dress that “still fits” 20 years later.

The eight-time Grammy winner joined American Idol as a judge for the first time this season. Her highly-anticipated return to the show takes place 20 years after she won Idol’s fourth season and launched her career in 2005. Underwood joins returning judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, and reunites with longtime host Ryan Seacrest, who crowned her the winner two decades ago. This season also includes reigning iHeartRadio Music Awards Country Artist of the Year Jelly Roll, serving as the first-ever artist in residence.

American Idol’s Top 3 contestants were revealed on Monday evening (May 12). Remaining contestants include John Foster, Jamal Roberts and Breanna Nix.
