Jana Kramer opened up about how she deals with âself-criticismâ and ânegative self-talkâ as she gets ready for the premiere of her new holiday romance, The Christmas Ring.
Kramer stars in the soon-to-debut movie alongside Benjamin Hollingsworth, Kelsey Grammer and more. Tyler Russell directed the film adaptation of author Karen Kingsburyâs novel by the same title, which published on October 21. The Christmas Ring is about âa military widow (who) falls in love while searching for her lost family Christmas Ring, an heirloom that has been in the family since D-Day,â per IMDb.
âIâm very excited,â Kramer said about The Christmas Ringâs premiere in a new episode of Whine Down with Jana Kramer on Monday (November 3). However, she admitted she often âwill talk down to myself,â and âIâm my loudest hater. âŚWe are our own critics.â Kramerâs friends and co-hosts, Kristen Brust and Kathryn Woodard, offered their encouragement. Kramer, who spoke about how she shifts her perspective, said the family-friendly Christmas movie âis so great. Itâs so cute and special, and I want everyone to go see it in theaters.â
Kramer recently hosted Kingsbury on an episode of Whine Down. Together, they discussed how Kramer took on the lead role in the film, why Kingsbury opted to write the screenplay before writing the book, Kingsburyâs journey from writing about sports and true crime to Christmas, and more.
