Keith Urban covered Chappell Roan’s viral single, “Pink Pony Club,” during his set at a private event hosted by Australian billionaire Anthony Pratt at Mar-a-Lago over the weekend, according to multiple news outlets. Reports note that President Donald Trump was also in attendance.
Urban, 58, has not publicly commented on his performance as of publication time on Tuesday (November 18). Billboard noted in a report on Monday (November 17) that realtor Tali Israel shared clips on Instagram from Urban’s performance, including the cover of Roan’s “Pink Pony Club.” She included in her caption: “Amazing people and great entertainment by Keith Urban.” PEOPLE reported on Tuesday, per Axios, that Pratt donated $10 million to Trump’s campaign last year, and $5 billion earlier this year for Trump’s “call to deindustrialize” the U.S.
Urban is one of the latest artists to join the lineup of the 59th CMA Awards, returning to Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Others in the lineup include Little Big Town, Kelsea Ballerini, Brandi Carlile, Kenny Chesney, Riley Green, Miranda Lambert, Patty Loveless, Old Dominion, The Red Clay Strays, Chris Stapleton, BigXthaPlug, Luke Combs, Ella Langley, Megan Moroney, Shaboozey, Zach Top, Tucker Wetmore, Lainey Wilson and Stephen Wilson Jr. Presenters and special guests include Lady A, Alison Brown, Jessica Capshaw, Billy Ray Cyrus, Lauren Daigle, Jordan Davis, Elizabeth Hurley, Cody Johnson, Bert Kreischer, Brandon Lake, Ella Langley, Steve Martin, Leanne Morgan, Ne-Yo, Chris O’Donnell, Kimberly Perry, LeAnn Rimes, Alan Ritchson, Lara Spencer, Billy Bob Thornton, Grace Van Patten, Gretchen Wilson and Bailey Zimmerman. The 59th CMA Awards will air live on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on November 19. The show will be available to stream the following day on Hulu.
