Kasey Tyndall said it was like “a big girls night” when she performed on Megan Moroney’s headlining tour earlier this year.

Tyndall, known for her blend of country and rock, said the “Am I Okay? Tour” was “amazing,” when she caught up with iHeartCountry on the red carpet at the 59th CMA Awards earlier this month in Nashville, Tennessee. The “perfect” way to describe the shows was the ultimate “girls night,” she said.

“It was just so awesome and refreshing to see how energetic the fans were. And she’s so kind and she just took such good care of her openers,” Tyndall said of Moroney, who has since announced details about her next studio album, Cloud 9. “We just had a ball. (I’m) very thankful to have been on that tour with her.”

Tyndall said “it’s amazing” to connect with audiences during live shows after putting in the work to write and record music. “That’s the goal. We make music and we give that to the fans and we hope they take it in and embrace it. It’s just been really fun.” Tyndall, who released a self-titled record in February (and expanded it over the summer), said she finds most of her inspiration from her family, including her husband and young daughter. Tyndall said growing up, she was heavily influenced by country, 80s rock and more, and now, some of her favorite artists include HARDYMiranda Lambert and more.
