Does your to-do list seem daunting?

If you are struggling with procrastination--GUILTY-- there is a technique you can use that will help you accomplish more without burning out or feeling too overwhelmed. It's called "The Pomodoro Technique" and the idea behind it is to break down tasks into smaller portions for you to accomplish.

Here's how you do it:

  1. Choose a task.
  2. Set a timer for 25 minutes.
  3. Focus on the task until the timer goes off.
  4. Take a short break, about two to five minutes.
  5. Repeat four times
  6. After 4 work session, Take a longer break about 15-30 minutes.

The technique was created by Francesco Cirillo in the late '80s. When Francesco was a student he was struggling with study sessions, so he grabbed a Tomato timer and set it for a short time to focus on the task at hand. He found this technique helped him accomplish more.

Francesco wrote a book about the technique you can find HERE
