What kind of employee are you?

What’s your work style? It may seem like an oversimplification of the workplace, but according to a career coach, there are just three buckets that every employee falls into:

  • Employees who don't do anything. You wonder how they got or keep their job. At best, they give you 50%.
  •
  • Employees who do the bare minimum. They don't do anything that isn't on their job description, but they do a good job on those tasks.
  •
  • High-achieving employees. They either love it or they're trying to get ahead, so they do their job, your job and your boss's job, and they're probably on the verge of burn-out.

Remember, at any point, an employee can shift from one category to the next and back.
